VINEYARDS CHARACTERISTICS
Grape from vineyards over 50 years old, with an average yield below 1 kilo per vine. Vineyards located over clay-ferrous and stony soils, very dry with a rainfall of less than 300 litres per square meter; located at 700 high altitude and at the skirts of the Cordillera Ibérica, just next to the hill called “Galiano”, from which we take the name for this excellent wine. This would be a single vineyard wine.

HARVEST : 4th. week of October when the grape is very ripened and concentrated.

MAKING PROCESS: Traditional method. Cold maceration during 48 hours in order to get the fresher fruit. Fermentation at 30ºC under temperature control. Maceration lasts 4 weeks.

AGEING: Mixed crianza in big French oak barrel during 9 months, and French oak barrels during 7 months, making a total of 16 months in oak. After bottled, the crianza continues in its own bottle before launching to the market.

TASTING:
Color.- High intensity cherry red with some ocher notes due to its crianza; very clean and bright.

Aroma.- High intensity, complex, red and black ripen fruits, toast and toffee notes, some mineral notes, given by the mix of different woods used.

Palate.- Smooth, round, wide, harmonic and well structured attack, rich and well balanced, and with a very wide and long aftertaste.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 15ºC
